Yep. The rabble are prime material for recruitment to very, very nasty movements. In truth, though, we probably will not see a repeat of what happened in Europe in the 1930s here in the US. My fear is that we will see a repeat of what happened *here* in the US during that same time - Fr. Coughlin, Henry Ford, Brown Shirts, etc. Right as things continue to heat up geopolitically, the existence of a large faction of appeasers and fellow travellers of procrustean monsters may hamstring us and stall our action. I would really be worried if an "anti war" candidate were to gain the presidency.
