If you are a jew hater (and I am not saying you are, just that you are demonstrating a curious hostility), you should expect censure for that hate, since there are a sizable number of us conservative Jews now at FR.

Madam, for a goy, I'll bet I count in my life a number of Jews, known and loved and a few unloved (Jews are human you know), that might surprise you.

My quarrel is not with Jews but with two power hungry American political parties (sadly, the only two we have) that choose to place Israeli interests on the same plane or higher than our own national interests.

Clear?

Am I emotional? Yes, my first born was murdered. Am I angry? Yes, he was killed for lies and for a PNAC Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel.

It's amazing how fast she's losing credibility. I'm astounded by how antisemitic the left is becoming.

Iraq was no threat to us?

You are clearly uninformed.

The Senate Intelligence Committee found that:

1) We had 78 reports from different sources that Hussein's regime was actively training Iraqi intelligence soldiers for terrorist attacks against America.

2) Iraq provided AQ with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear training.

3) Direct meetings took place between senior Iraqi military officers and top AQ operatives between the early 90's and 2003.

The 9/11 Commission Report states:

1) Richard Clark (Clinton's terrorism czar) testified that Iraq cooperated on chemical weapons with terrorists, including AQ.

2) Former Defense Secretary William Cohen (Clinton's Defense guy) testified that OBL and Iraq collaborated on the construction of a nerve gas facility.

3) The Clinton justice department said in its federal indictment of OBL that OBL and Iraq were collaborating.

4) Several high ranking Iraqi officials met with AQ and Saddam's intelligence service directly cut a check to Dr. Zawahiri for $300,000. Zawahiri at that time merged his organization with OBL's and the merger was "defacto complete by February 1998".

You're new here, but your benefit of the doubt is gone.

To all those fellow FReepers who stubbornly insist -- in the face of all reason and logic -- that Neo-con" isn't really the radical left's unlovely little code phrase du jour for "Da JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZ":

She said "Israel."

Chill out. The Republican party in the 1920s and 1930s was quite antisemitic. David Horowitz has said so. That's why so many Depression era Jewish people worshiped FDR. It's certainly not that way now. If you don't think Pat Buchanan, who is virtually a reincarnation of a 1930s style Republican, flirts with antisemitism then I don't know what to say.

neo con is a code word for jewish

That's one I have never heard before. I thought they (Lefties, MSM) used it as a vaguely ugly-sounding epithet for everyone on the right. They don't dare say "Conservatives say this or that" because many people in the USA consider themselves conservative. But a NEO-CON -- those people close orphanages and old people's homes and use the money to light their cigars with 100 dollar bills!

I am sorry that she lost her son, but this woman hasn't had a shred of credibility since the first time she opened her vile mouth. What a joke, and what a travesty to the memory of her honorable son.

Nope. She's piecing it together from the "Did You Know?" blurbs on the backs of sugar packets.

Now, prepare for a rant.

In all seriousness, what she's doing is horrible. The Kabbalah centres have nothing to do with Judaism. They are a pathetic, sacrilegious, New-Age money making venture. Its New-Age Judaism. You know, like Judaism without the faith in G-d, the Tanakh (Old Testament), blatantly rewriting our religious principles and ignoring others, etc. etc.

In fact, the Kabbalah is a compilation of works of metaphor. It describes the laws of light, the nature of G-d (or at least his aspects that we can comprehend, because his essence cannot be understood by man by most accounts), the laws of the universe etc. Many things in it are also spiritually dangerous if you take them literally. In orthodox Judaism, some parts are actually forbidden toall those other than men over 40, and then they must be righteous and wise so it's not misused. Most parts are fine for most people, but because its a work of mysticism My denomination (conservative), along with the modern orthodox and reform, believes that it's useful to study as an intellectual discipline, but little more than that.

The Kabbalah centre takes the Kabbalah, waters it down, throws in feminism, aliens, psychics and feel good spirituality (G-d won't REALLY judge you), astrology, kirilian psychology, reincarnation, warding against the evil eye (I have a ring of protection +3! It cost 10, 000 bucks, but it's worth it!) etc. and uses cult like tactics to build a business empire and devotees. To whom they sell more crap. Like a case of cancer curing "Kabbalah water" for almost $1000. There is nothing resembling holy water in Judaism. They also sell charms and all sorts of crap. And all those who dare to criticise them are sued. It's disgusting and immoral and all Jews who learn of it are opposed to it, because it cheapens our faith, cheapens Judeo-Christian values and it's otherwise a shameless liberal, New Age ploy to make money.

Also, it's Madonna. Whatever. She can call herself Esther, or whatever, but I am going to call her much nastier names..

According to this link, Ms. Sheehan purportedly says she's also a tax cheat. From the link:

For one thing, Sheehan said, she has stopped paying her taxes. "I didn't pay my taxes for 2004," she said. When a letter arrives declaring her payment delinquent, she said, "I'll say no -- I don't owe you a penny. We'll see what they do to me."

Okaaaaay....

SFSU Hosts a Terrorist
By Lee Kaplan
FrontPageMagazine.com | May 2, 2005

Cindy Sheehan followed this act. Wearing a sweatshirt advertising the website for United for Peace and Justice, Sheehan was interviewed outside just before the meeting by an ABC-TV news reporter. Sheehan said then that military recruiters should not be allowed on college campuses, maintaining they trick naïve 18-year-olds with offers of money and scholarships. Tragically, Cindy Sheehan lost her son Casey who was in the Army and was killed two weeks after arriving in Iraq. She claimed he was promised a job as a chaplain’s assistant although once in the service was placed in a combat role and killed, certainly a moving story – one she exploits to promote venomous anti-Americanism. “George Bush and his neo-conservatives killed my son,” she said tearing up a bit. “America has been killing people on this continent since it was started. This country is not worth dying for.”

Cindy Sheehan

“They’re not waging a War on Terror but a War of Terror,” she said. “The biggest terrorist is George W. Bush.” She claimed “it costs $66,000 to recruit one soldier, not including training, and $49,000 a year to house a prisoner, yet only $6,000 per year is spent to educate a child in California. (Recruiting costs are actually $15,000 per soldier, the cost of housing a prisoner in California for one year is $26,000.)

Sheehan continued, “9/11 was Pearl Harbor for the neo-conservatives’ agenda” and declared the U.S. government a “morally repugnant system.” Then she raged:

We have no Constitution. We’re the only country with no checks and balances. We want our country back if we have to impeach George Bush down to the person who picks up the dog sh-t in Washington! Let George Bush send his two little party animals to die in Iraq. It’s OK for Israel to have nuclear weapons but we are waging nuclear war in Iraq, we have contaminated the entire country. It’s not OK for Syria to be in Lebanon. Hypocrites! But Israel can occupy Palestine? Stop the slaughter!

While one might dismiss some of Sheehan’s hyperbole due to grief over her son’s death,

a little research about Casey Sheehan revealed that contrary to being tricked by military recruiters, Casey Sheehan had re-enlisted in the U.S. Army voluntarily when he was 24-years-old, after serving his first hitch successfully. Casey Sheehan was in fact a hero who received a Bronze Star. He was attached as a mechanic to the artillery division of the 1st U.S. Cavalry in Iraq. When a convoy of soldiers from Casey’s unit was attacked in Sadr City by insurgents, Casey volunteered to join a rapid rescue force to get them out. His commanding sergeant told him he did not have to go into combat, because he was a mechanic and not an infantryman. Casey was quoted telling his officer, “I go where my chief goes.” He was tragically killed during the rescue attempt. The source for this story? Cindy Sheehan herself.

I also visited an army recruiting office on my way home and asked about Casey being promised a job as a chaplain’s assistant only to be thrust into harm’s way. The recruiter explained to me that on re-enlistment, the Army’s B.E.A.R. program (Bonus Extension and Retaining) guarantees everything in writing. If Casey was a mechanic during his first hitch, that was the only thing he would have been guaranteed per his re-enlistment contract. Further research showed that a chaplain’s assistant is a combat infantry position, whereas Casey was deployed in a non-combat job as a mechanic. Casey Sheehan sought combat duty for his country and should be honored for it, not used as a symbol of how evil the United States is.

Also from the above link:

Sheehan does not charge for her appearances. She said she uses money from her son's life insurance policy and the government compensation she gets for his death to cover the cost of her plane fare from California, meals and hotel for speaking engagements. The Rhode Island Community Coalition for Peace, which hosted her talk, took up a collection last night to reimburse part of her expenses.

I wonder if that's true?

"If you're serious neighbor, just take a little time off from FR and do some research right here on the wondernet."

I did google the word some time ago; however, I stumbled upon several different meanings/definitions. Was wondering how FReepers defined the word.

So let's see: if someone criticizes Israel, they are just being racists.

But that would render Israel immune from criticism.

How clever.

Well, I guess no one can say boo about Israel--Israel must be perfect.
