Cheney is an excellent choice borne of wisdom, class, and experience. Widely read and educated on foreign and domestic issues. Not a showboater but doggedly deliberate--he is perfect for the position.
But he may be unelectable to the post. He is simply overqualified and for that the American electorate would not forgive.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, more than anything, I don’t think he wants to run.
As far as Bob Woodward is concerned, he spiels methane gas through his mouth. Sorry, I’m not feeling too charitable toward Woodward, especially not today.
I agree that he would be perfect for the position.
Regardless, he is not going to run because he wants out of politics. The only reason he is still in office is out of his dedication and friendship to W.
