If the Army calls me up I need to be sure and type a farewell letter expressing my delight in serving my country, and that no post-mortem protest/statement by a family member represents me in the slightest. In a nutshell: Honor my service, and then STFU.

My daughter didn't write a letter, but she has told me that she knows fully well she may die over there, she knows what she's doing is right, she's so proud to be serving, and proud of her CIC, and most of her buddies feel exactly the same way. She says, whenever they're in the mess hall, and the President is on, everyone is watching and listening. She told me, during the elections, at NTC, they had a mess tent with a projector screen covering the elections. When President Bush won, the entire area erupted into spontaneous cheers and applause. Totally unlike I42's reign. If something like this happens to me, I'd never do what this womyn is doing, even if it was I42.
