We worried about the success of F9/11, but it didn't change anything. People are smarter than we sometimes give them credit for being.

Good call. $220M or whatever they grossed on F9/11 at these ticket prices was only 2 or 3 Million moviegoers, I thought at the time, about .1 % of the population probably less votes than that. But, nice people shouldn't be locked out of the moviehouses because of this ugliness. What's happening in H'wood is nothing short of elitist tyranny.

Oh, I'm there with you. It makes me sick the kind of trash they try to foist on the public. Spielberg could do a good thing with his movie, but he hires a cretin like Kushner. Knowing his bio would be enough, but after the assault of Angels in America, I won't see anything with which he's associated. I guess I'm just saying, there's nothing we can do to stop these films, but at least I don't think the public is going to be converted by them. Or, it's my hope, anyway.

While I agree with your general sentiment, and while I can't stand Michael Moore, his F911 grossed nearly $120 million in the US last year, and with avg ticket prices of about $6 last year, that would be about 20 million admissions in the US alone. You could make a good argument that it may have been a few million less than that since very little of its business likely came from matinee shows and from children, while it probably did a disproportionate share from more expensive big cities and later showings. But it still sold millions of tickets.
