Wow! 10 years!

I remember hearing it on the radio, getting ready for work. We had "The Dead" playing for...probably the next 3-4 days 24/7 around here.

There never was, or will be another player like Papa Jerry.

Played "Black Peter" 3 or 4 times straight when I heard; seemed about right.

And the next cat was named Cassidy. Bald eagle carried her away last year, poor little critter.

My mid 20's sons are both deadheads, have college degrees, and love Ole Jerry. They both voted for President Bush and have W sticker on their cars.

Now they follow String Cheese, and Widespread.

By the way, what is up with the teddy bears? I was not that cool back in the 70's.

I heard it on the radio on the way to the birth of my first child. While she was being born I commented that if it's a boy We'll have to name it Jerry. NO ONE knew what I was talking about. I told them Jerry Garcia had died. They were all still clueless. My daughter was ten on 8/9/05. My wife wouldn't approve Geraldine (we could have called her Jerry for short). Oh, and if my daughter ever drops hints about what day is coming up I just tell her, "yea I know, the anniversary of Jerry Garcia's death is coming."
