I read Debby Orin's story. It's pretty sweet music to us in Americans For Rice. This tells me that the rank and file are actually serious about building a national coalition that can beat Hillary in 2008 and expand the governing coalition that Bush and Rove have begun to construct. Notice that Condi is at only 19%, and this is before she has made ONE chicken dinner speech.

McCain is dead with the base, and Rudy's position on abortion is far to the left of where Condi stands. Condi's position on RKBA is about where Gun Owner's of America are, and indeed, is to the right of NRA National. Potentially, Rice is in the strongest position going forward due to Rudy's weaknesses on abortion and RKBA.

In addition, Bush would probably prefer Condi to Rudy. Rudy backed McCain in the 2000 primaries. Bush doesn't forget those things.

Single issue one-trick ponies like Tancredo are down in the dumpers, where they should be. Where the heck is Allen, btw? Continuing to underwhelm?

Be Seeing You,

Chris
