Maybe you're the sanctimonious idiot by implying that everyone must agree with you. Anyway, it doesn't matter. He will be confirmed. The lesson here is that we should never elect an evasive person who is easily pushed around because he wants to be "a uniter." That's code for "I'll sell out my supporters if you'll act like you love me for a few minutes." It's the praise over principle strategy, or otherwise called the McCain Principle.

Ah well, this was one subject he wasn't even evasive on. But then he also said he wouldn't sign CFR. Roberts donated help for the Romer case is certainly incongruent with his judicial restraint statements. I'm guessing this judge was a Cheney pick.
