The space shuttle Discovery glided back to Earth to a pre-dawn landing in the Mojave desert today, nearly 14 days after its 5.8-million-mile journey began.
After a one-day delay and a shift in plans from the East Coast to the West, the shuttle Discovery landed at Edwards Air Force Base in California Tuesday at 8:11:22 a.m. Eastern time.
