Suicide Bombing - Fuzhou
One suicide bombing exploded on a bus in Fuzhou City, Fujian Provice, at around 2:30pm, August 8. According to official news, the explosion was caused by a 42-year old farmer who had cancer. But it is hard for police to reach such a conclusion so quickly. The news said there was one killed and dozens injured, it did not mention whether the bomber was killed.
What Witness Said
Anonymous witness said there were at least five killed, some said more than 20. Witness saw one body was removed and rescuers tried to find survivors and picked up body parts.
Police confiscated the cameras who have taken pictures.
(The Chinese will deal with this very harshly.)
Yeah..the "Party" is not gonna like this at *all*...
And when the *Party* don't like it...
...they get to shootin the Casbah
...Shootin the Casbah
That must be a coal mine. The miners drag those baskets of coal out of the mine by hand. Damn.
Right now there's a coal mine in China with 120 miners trapped. Their prognosis is not good.
I wish - I use machine translation when I can. Otherwise, I can read the photos. Thank you though. (I would enjoy learning to read Chinese.)
From what I've read about the health situation of the farmers there, they have lost their water to pollution, and most now have cancer. Many die from merely coming into contact with ground water over a period of time. Many villages are decimated.
Is this true?
So, if this is a farmer, mad at the gubbamint...
Why is he bombing a *bus*, instead of a "party"
office of some kind?
Excellent question.
Yes, it's true. It's called Ai Zheng Cun (Cancer Village). "àǺ"<---Chinese Characters
There's not only one Cancer Village, Cancer Villages are all over China, I mean Mainland. Hell, no one is responsible for the tragedy.
There are so many questions that I have about China, may I FReepmail you?
thanks!
I don't doubt they'll execute the bomber.
Apparently, she is still alive.
If she's still alive, I don't even want to see the guy that's dead!
They'll probably blow him up a few more times, until they get a confession.

This likely have nothing to do with muslims.
This is a sign of the coming instability of China that the government has been tried hard to prevent from boiling over. 1 Billion of the 1.3 Billion Chinese are farmers, and the economic growth has largely been down on their backs, while seeing little of the reward. The average income for a Chinese farmer is little over a dollar a day. Yet their tax rates are actually higher than the people who live in cities.
The resentment has been fomenting for sometime. There have been numberous reports of local farmers skirmishing with government law enforcements.
Distraction from "swine flu" stories?
Or... if a farmer, maybe trying to call attention to it?
