When this act passed in 1965 it was to prevent voting rights being squashed by racist DEMOCRATS. No one wants to remember that. They cannot produce one shred of hard proof that Bush or any Republican is trying to deny voting rights to anyone but they spout off this vile rhetoric anyway, like the robots they are.
I really got a good laugh though out of the comments on Bush stealing the election in '04. The white media said it. LOL!!
What exactly upsets them about having to prove you are who you say you are before you vote?
The only way I can figure anyone would be upset about having to show ID at a polling place is if you're trying to cook the books.....
