A good illustration of how the media decides what is news. We a destined to see much of this woman if we tune in to the MSM.

Being a useful idiot for the Communist party and being the "founder" of some idiotic organization sure beats working for a living. Besides, when you're working for a living, it's difficult to pick up those fifteen minutes of fame. Everybody wants to be a celebrity and rub elbows with other celebrities. Even if you have to exploit the death of one of your children to do it.

I'm sure everyone grieves for this mother, and for everyone who lost loved ones in the war. That's a given.

But what is the purpose of her campaign to speak to Bush? What could he possibly say to her to make her feel better? Even giving the most charitable possible view to her actions, her misplaced anger is being used by a cynical media and others to attack our war effort. And at worst, she's disgracing her son's memory by using him to mount a cheap media stunt.

As others have posted, I can't imagine a mother camping out when FDR was at Warm Springs to ask why "FDR killed my son" and receiving this kind of fawning coverage, especially when everyone knows that nothing the President could say would change her mind. And it appears that the supporters of the action in Iraq can point out the reasons (as set forth in the resolution passed by Congress) endlessly, but people just don't want to hear the facts - just what they have convinced themselves of: Bush lied, we went in to get WMDs, etc.

I feel for this woman but she's bringing shame and disgrace to herself, not Bush.

I know what you mean.

Imagine if someone camped out at Clinton's vacation spot for a month to ask why their loved one died at Waco. Or a relative of someone who died at that asprin factory Clinton bombed did the same. Of course the press coverage would be different.

We all honor what her son did. I wonder how he would feel about what his mother is doing now?

Don't confuse the left with the facts!

Seems like there's some form of progressive mass delusion gripping much of the left. Like a snowball, it keeps growing and feeding on itself: Clinton was impeached for having sex. Bush stole the 2000 election. Bush knew about 9/11. Bush lied about WMDs. We went to Iraq for Halliburton. Abu Gharib was Bush-sanctioned torture. The Swift Boat Vets were liars. Bush stole the 2004 election. Gitmo is Bush-sanctioned torture. Rathergate, Downing Street, Valerie Plame. And on and on. Same old crapola.

It gets tiresome having to point out facts over and over. And then getting accused, when reacting to some outrageous conduct like Durbin's "Nazi" comment, of questioning their patriotism.

It never ends . . .

Shameful, sad. Tells us a lot about her and her handlers; nothing whatever about the son, the Pres, or the war.
