Spot on. And apparently the world's full of 'em.
God forbid if you say bullsh** on TV or not give a Muslim a bible.
All pizza outside of New York sucks.
It's New Freakin' Zealand. As insignificant and irrelevant corner of the planet.
Exactly what I was thinking. It's not like anything they say or do is going to bother anyone except our congresscritters who are so worried about how the US is viewed in the eyes of the world. They need to go back to herding their sheep and leave the US to it's citizens.
One question: What's the size of a billboard in New Zealand anyway? Ummm, 'bout the size of a 3 x 5 card?
Pizza in Jersey is as good if not better. Plus you can have a smoke after you're done, if that's your thing.
I call that mighty big talk from a country where they pimp sheep.
I have never had New York pizza, but Cincinnati pizza excels in the sucking department!
Take it from me--there is NO pizza outside of New York. There is only dough, sauce, and cheese. Somehow it just doesn't come out the same. There are no bagels outside of New York either.
<<Wonder how they'd feel if we put up billboards calling their PM a Strumpet for a hay-penny<<
Spot on!!!!
I suspect there are a few still trying to figure out what a Strumpet is and what's a hay-penny. LOL!
Thanks for the link. Just gave him a piece of my mind and copied the head of the marketing department for the New Zealand Tourist Board. Told them that if this was at all indicative of the general prevailing attitudes of the country, this won't be a place that I will be visiting soon.
Oh no! How awful! New york pizza is worth a trip to New York. Try any that are named Umberto's or Tony's. Gino's are really pretty good too! Stay away from Fred's though. :*)
To be pedantic, it does allow them to dock, it simply insists that they confirm whether or not ehy are carrying nuclear weapons or are nuclear powered even on vessels where the answer is a bleedingly obvious 'no'.
That condition is anathema to the USN hence the lack of ship visits now. But unacceptable conditions are not a blanket ban. And we still allow the US the spy base at Waihopai and the use of CHristchurch to reach MCMurdo and resupply it, etc.
It's probably your US spelling. NZ follow the English use of English and while we'd say it "Hay-penny" we'd spell it half-penny.
>>I suspect there are a few still trying to figure out what a Strumpet is and what's a hay-penny. LOL!<<
I would have to agree with you there!
There are plenty of people in New Zealand who bitterly regret that the country is in the grip of a cadre of freedom hating sandal wearing US hating socialist hippies. They took control gradually, by infiltrating the education system, the mainstream media and the bureaucracy, and what you need to be wary of is that the same people do not the same way take control of America.
I promise I will never eat "the pizza from Hell".
I used to get pretty darn good pizza--for free--in California, when I was in college.
My buddy's mother, Umberto's wife, made if from scratch, using an old family recipe.
