Hinchey is certifiable. He was the one who, at one of these circle-j, I mean "Town Meetings" said Karl Rove was behind the Rather forgeries. He had no evidence but believed it was important to keep making unsubstantiated charges like that.
He was caught carrrying a gun onto a flight at then DC National airport. Confronted, he said he didn't know it was in there. Fascinating - owns a gun and didn't know where it was.
For Hinchey Bush hatred is personal. In March of 2000 candidate George W. Bush visited Binghamton, NY for a St. Patrick's Day parade. Hinchey ran, elbowing people left and right, to get to the front of the parade. When he forced himself on the candidate, the future President replied "Get you own f%&*ing parade." Our town supervisor told him: "Maurice, you're acting like an a#$hole."
