Usual Sunday Morning Report: Our Friday night performance was not just good......It was spot-on, IMHO! We did a magnificent, continuous, non-stop 2 hour set to a VERY appreciative crowd, had dinner, fortified ourselves with a few tall brews and came back on to play for another hour and half. Particularly blistering at the end of the night, was an ad-libbed 15 minute guitar solo my buddy played over my 'rising and falling' G/C progression (simple 4th's) accompaniment at the end of
AGAINST THE WIND (Bob Seger); we had never performed this song together before and a fortuitous heat-lightning storm (that had been building for the previous hour) roll-in as we started into the end of the song, providing a backdrop and inspiration for the solo. I was astounded by the awesome sound we got spontaneously! Also, I did an
a cappella rendition of
THUNDER ROAD (Bruce Springsteen) that I've been working on for just me and my bass. I suppose the Gods of RocknRoll themselves decided to take Saturday nite off because it was a just a so-so set on this night.

Chris Wallace described his guests as "best knowledge in Washington" on Fox & Friends. After 2 breaks, Ed Hill asked Brian Kilmeade whether he is upto some "knowledge" on sunday, Kilmeade said he is allergic to Washington knowledge & they both LOL.

Sens. Joe Biden = ARROGANT *SS! PUKE!
Chris Matthews thinks he is going to be the Democrat presidential candidate in 2008. HELLO, CHRIS!!! It's probably just wishful thinking since he would be more than happy to be his press secretary (especially since his show doesn't even rate on MSNBC of all places).

Mario Cuomo? I thought he was in hiding. The last I heard from him was on 9/11, being interviewed on CNN. While the attacks were in progress, he was actually pleading that we listen to the terrorists' grievances. Before he could finish they had to break because they had more news (IIRC, it was that a plane had just struck the Pentagon). May Mario go to that special place where the fires always burn...

On Fox News they just said Peter Jennings was gravely ill.I saw that earlier on a prayer thread. Don't like his politics, but he has my prayer as a person.

Biden, Lugar, Cuomo, Kucinich, and the rebellious one,(betcha she has her thong on) maybe I can just mute most of them out.
Now listening to some dud on c-spam saying it's ok to not assimilate once you become an American citzen.
To my way of thinking that's a huge part of the problem we have over here. The rats have demagogued their own country, the US, so much that immigrants no longer feel obliged to assimilate or melt in as in the early 1900's when immigrants believed in the melting pot concept.
No more today it's create your own country within the borders of the US, it's dividing the country.

Oh. good Lord! A caller to C-Span is talking about being ATTACKED with 'illegal electromagnetic radiation rays' and he's being allowed to ramble on.........Now's he's onto the Tuskegee experiment and wants to 'digress'.
I love C-Span, but they should do a little 'screening'.
