Mother Russia? The bubbleheads & their rescuers deserve out support as their missions are primarily to save lives not kill. I suspect the Russian mini-sub was trying to repair a military antenna system, since a Russian spokeman later admitted as such, describing it as part of a coastal defense system. Our own deep water crews and the Brits do the same thing, but with unmanned submersibles. But there is no end to Russia's adventurism that is not in America's interest, e. g., the upcoming joint naval exercises with the Chinese and Putin's version of proletariat-lite. Given the poor condition of their military, they are cozying up to the Chinese to prevent encroachment on their Eastern flank.
