Yes, but we don't know what role they played. Will be interesting to hear the full story.

The Robosub came by Brit aircraft, Russian truck, and Russian boat. The US Scorpios came by US aircraft. Although there's been no report of their whereabouts for several hours, they were last reported to have been at port three hours away and loading aboard a Russian ship. Based on the timing since, the odds are they've been on scene in a backup capacity for several hours. That's probably where the U.S. doctor came from.

I'll join you in that, this bud's for them!

Here's to you, Mr. submarine recovery technician. You'd rather spend the weekend dragging that lost sub to shallow water than sharing a Popov with your landlubbing buddies...

A Russian woman lights a candle for the salvation of sailors of a mini-submarine in Kazansky Cathedral in St. Petersburg, Russia, Saturday Aug. 6, 2005. U.S. and British planes carrying robotic undersea vehicles landed in Russia's Far East on Saturday to help rescue seven sailors trapped in a mini-submarine deep in the Pacific Ocean. The vessel, which had been participating in a combat training exercise, got caught on an underwater antenna assembly that is part of Russia's coastal monitoring system. The antenna system is anchored with a weight of about 60 tons, news reports say. (AP Photo/ Dmitry Lovetsky)

But I have a question, if the Brits and the Russians are there then why are they being examined/treated by a U.S. doctor?

A US team went out with the Brits
