Understood. I saw the same stuff. But if you'll note, both extracts you provided were dated after her son died. I was specifically asking if there was anything from BEFORE April 6, 2004, that showed her to be some kind of activist, as was alleged.

You'll find no argument out of me here that Cindy Sheehan is now a moonbat. I wouldn't even be at all surprised to find out that she was a life-long Dimocrat. But its not a crime to be a Dimocrat (although I'm sure the moonbats would like to make it a crime to be a Republican).

But there's a big difference in being a Dimocrat and being an activist who thought Bush stole the election. Although they are very, very loud, those who believed Bush stole the election in 2000 are in the minority, even the minority of Dims. The majority of Dimocrats out there are decent people, just a little misguided.

Just because the vast majority of moonbats are dimocrats doesn't mean that the vast majority of dimocrats are moonbats. (Look at the Reagan Democrats and folks like Zell Miller as examples of what I'm saying)

But, thanks.

Cindy Sheehan has called the American government:

a morally repugnant system...We have no Constitution. We’re the only country with no checks and balances. We want our country back if we have to impeach George Bush down to the person who picks up the dog sh-t in Washington! Let George Bush send his two little party animals to die in Iraq. It’s OK for Israel to have nuclear weapons but we are waging nuclear war in Iraq, we have contaminated the entire country. It’s not OK for Syria to be in Lebanon. Hypocrites! But Israel can occupy Palestine?”

And:

“They’re not waging a War on Terror but a War of Terror...The biggest terrorist is George W. Bush.”

Mark it a conclusion easily drawn from her comments.

"It has been two days since your dishonest campaign stole another election…but you all were way more subtle this time than in 2000, weren’t you? You hardly had to get the Supreme Court of the United States involved at all this week...”

"George, in 2000 when you stole that election and the Democrats gave up, I gave up too. I had the most ironic thought of my life then: "Oh well, how much damage can he do in four years?"

Well, now I know how much you have damaged my family, this country, and this world. If you think I am going to allow you another four years to do even more damage, then you truly are mistaken. I will fight for a true vote count and if that fails, your impeachment. Also, the impeachment of your Vice President...”

Now the way I read that, she worked against President Bush's election in 2000.

If you ever saw the Downing Street Memo kangaroo court with headmaster Conyers of Michigan in the copy center of the Capitol you'd no longer be with us as your head would've exploded listening to her...

Cindy Sheehan
Vacaville, California

Dear Bill Ford, Jr.,

My son, Casey, was killed in action in Iraq on 04 April 2004. He was an excellent human being and I am sure he would have contributed so much to our society if he wasn't sent to a needless war to make some evil people in the world richer. Casey was also very interested in the environment and in ecology--and very concerned about climate change. Well, he doesn't have to worry about anything, anymore, but I am writing this letter to you for him, the rest of our world's children, and future generations because as the manufacturer of the world's worst fleet when it comes to fuel efficiency, it's time for you to take immediate action to help break our oil addiction.

Mr. Ford, there are few things in this world that irritate me more than seeing a "Support our Troops" yellow ribbon magnet on the back of one of your huge SUV gas guzzlers. I believe one of the reasons that our greedy mis-leaders invaded Iraq was for control of the oil fields. What do your huge, gas-guzzling, polluting vehicles need to be able to run?: oil. I think it is very hypocritical for people to slap yellow "Support our Troops" magnets on these same monster cars. We have had hundreds of our children killed to gain control of the oil fields; guarding the oil fields and pipelines; and guarding the convoys of oil tankers. Our nation's insatiable thirst for oil is also ruining an innocent country and killing tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis.

Seems Mrs. Sheenan was more restrained right after meeting with President Bush:

"I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis," Cindy said after their meeting. "I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."

The meeting didn't last long, but in their time with Bush, Cindy spoke about Casey and asked the president to make her son's sacrifice count for something. They also spoke of their faith. "

Cindy describes herself as "an average American mom. I have 3 other children: Carly, 24; Andy, 21; and Janey, 19. Since he was killed, I have become a tireless advocate for peace, to expose the lies of our administration, to wake the American people up before it happens to them, and to bring our troops home from the nightmare in Iraq. I was a Catholic youth minister for 8 years. Now being a peace activist is my full-time job."

Your son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, was deployed to Iraq in the spring of 2004. When and why did Casey join the military? What did you think about his decision?

Cindy Sheehan (CS): Casey joined the Army in May of 2000. I was devastated. He was 21, he didn't discuss it with us.

Devastated? Why?

CS: Because he would be leaving home ... we are not a military family and we really didn't understand his enlistment.

snip

How are your three other children coping with Casey's death and do they have any issues with the role you've assumed as a critic since that tragedy?

CS: Carly the oldest has coped by throwing herself into school. Andy is coping by becoming Casey. Janey is coping by drinking and partying.

Unfortunately, I am not able to help them that much because of my pain, and because I feel so compelled to fight the injustice and bring the troops home.

Tell us about how you came to be a sort of celebrity?

CS: Not sure. I just work my ass off trying to end the war. Before I was contacted to do my first national media (good morning america from DC on Inauguration day) I had already done so many print interviews, radio interviews, local TV interviews, that I was not nervous at all. I had also been on ABC and CBS evening news. I am not nervous at all and never have been. GMA contacted me because of my outspokenness against spending millions of dollars for the Inauguration party while we are at war.

Have you lost any friends or family over this? OR, how do your husband and neighbors feel about your sudden rise to prominence in the media and the role you've accepted in those venues?

CS: I have lost almost every friend that I had before Casey died. My husband and I are separated, because he doesn't support my activities, although he knows the war is a lie.

This lady had her meeting with President Bush in June of 2004 and she used it as a launching pad for an anti Bush offensive. Its on Daily Kos(I googled her name and I think it is safe to say she is milking her sons death for everything it is worth)
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/7/5/194826/1471

Astounding-I wonder how her son would feel were he to understand that his mom was trashing his dedication and conviction to fight terror by volunteering to serve this nation? She is pitiful.

This event has been planned for some time. If the county's mood was souring towards the war wouldn't there be more than 50-70 protester's?
