Well, it sounds like Bush's aides handled it well. And, fwiw, the woman didn't heap scorn on them. If all protests could end up as politely as this one was (per this report), then this would be a whole lot better place.

How sad.
She is directing her anger at the wrong person.
She should be in front of her local Mosque

I can't even imagine this happening in 1941-1945 when we lost 400,000 men

Showing sensitivity to this kind of idiot only encourages her way of "thinking." She should have been escorted off the premises and otherwise ignored.

If Bush weren't doing what he is, this very woman would be first in line to condemn him for not doing it, if there was another attack on U.S. soil.
With regard to the War on Terrorism, Bush deserves the support of this nation's citizens. Unless they can come up with another viable way to combat (NOT CAPITULATE TO) terrorism, they should sit down and shut up.

I wish that President Bush would have met with her and hugged her and talked in private to her like he has with so many others who have lots family. I do bet she would have come out with a different impression of him.
Her anger is misguided and she has to be uninformed by her statements.

( President Bush, You are being prayed for along with our country daily, by millions of us.)

I have 3 brothers in the military serving proudly and I can guarantee if anything happened to them, they would be mortified if our mother acted like Ms. Sheehan. I sympathize with her loss but her son would certainly want her to behave with honor as well.

Every country in the middle east is a breeding ground of terrorist and is a proven threat to the US. The world is a safer place with Saddam out of power.

Cindy's one of the "professionals." She even testified before Conyers' committee!

"I can't even imagine this happening in 1941-1945 when we lost 400,000 men"Mothers had dignity back then.
Most still do today, but all of them did back then.

Grief excuses a great deal, but not this. She's being used by America's enemies, God help her.

There. I fixed the first part there for y'all.

I can understand the mother's grief. But she dishonors her son's sacrifice.

Thanks. The name didn't ring a bell. Although the article is not retracted, please allow me to issue an "oops" on my comments.

I disagree. Her politics have taken the place of her grief. You do not feed angry, political animals. It's just not a good policy.

What a disgrace. And to think her son died to protect her right to badmouth the President.

Of course, there's a 99.9999999999999% chance that she held these views LONG before her son, a hero, died.
