Also the odd stories about "divers" being found in and around nuclear plants, refineries along the water and a few accounts of dead divers being found in places where they should not have been, who could not be identified. Early on, after 9/11 I recall dive shops being told to look out for Middle Eastern men looking to rent equipment. There were visits to VA area dive shops by the FBI.
Considering the USS Cole, we know that AQ has used this tactic before.
two more thoughts.
Last year, while hunting scuba divers, I found a report on a diving school in Australia. (this is from my memory, as I
don't know if I could find it again and at that time did not
keep what i sent up).
Two mid-eastern men paid $4,000. each for the diving lessons. When the lessons started, one man came to one class, the other was never seen again.
And they never asked for the money back.
If one looks for (googles) the logs for Search and Rescue,
there will be some strange rescues in them, and reports of boats found without ever knowing who was on them.
I found a couple other dead scuba divers, who were in full gear, but there were no missing person reports on them, and no car or starting point was ever found.
Does everone remember the person dressed for scuba diving in the Hawaii harbor???? He would go into the water and simply disappear.
As far as I know he was never found. And as my memory goes there 2 or 3 different days that it happened.
I have a google alert set for divers, but am now 7,700 messages un-read at my Yahoo box, so could have missed it, so far the ones that i have read were nice family men who had an accident.
