I don't get this solution of shipping them ALL to Houston.

Another FReeper on a different thread raised the issue of whether those being transferred from the Superdome have the option of heading out on their own rather than going to the Astrodome. Thought that was an interesting question!

Looters - don't even get me started.....

That question was just asked of the FEMA director and he said "OH YES, they will have to go" and also said "They will have to leave NO" There is no infrastructure to support them, even in the dry areas. However, those not in harms way will be left up to the Mayor as to what to do with them. [that is NOT the people in the Dome]

They are showing people getting on buses now. I guess after what they have lived in for two days, they are glad to go.

When a person is placed under FEMA's auspices, are there no other choices? What is the difference between FEMA and Martial Law?
