IMHO this is gouging deluxe. It's another Exxon situation where the rich get richer. So what if entire industries (truck drivers particularly) and city government budgets are decimated (police patrols in particular) are slammed by the effects of the high prices and so what if people barely surving on minimum wage jobs are traumatized by rising fuel prices.

The other side of the coin is that certain CEOs (and terrorists) are ecstatic that a portion of the American economy is in their control.

I agree.
The oil companies are raking in the dough.

What was perplexing in that article was the mention of a glut of oil in China. Here, I thought that the price of oil was high, mostly based on China's increased consumption.

Are they just hoarding it so WE can't keep well stocked?
