The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

Made it back in one piece from Milwaukee Irish Fest.

The President of Ireland was there along with many other consulate types in her entourage. Lots of big black SUVs and plenty of Coast Guard boats patrolling the shoreline.

Hubby and I chuckled as we saw 1 middle eastern couple, likely from India, amidst thousands and thousands of shamrock green shirt wearing, freckle-faced redheads.

That link is fringe alright! I do find it notible though that even those far out characters still seem occasionally to touch upon a gossamer of truth somehow (and I suppose that is how they get their naive following.) The gift of real prophecy is found in humility and sanctity and is freely given as it was freely gotten.

This certainly makes sense if Russia is one of the entities behind Al Quada (and trying to find out how much the Brits know of their involvement or prevent them from finding something incriminating.) Did Russia offer to aid us in investigations post 9/11?

British police foiled al-Qaida attack on parliament: report
The Associated Press, Aug. 20, 2005

LONDON


Police believe they foiled a potential al-Qaida gas attack on British parliament, a newspaper reported.

The Sunday Times newspaper, published late Saturday, claimed the plot _ to unleash deadly nerve gas sarin on Britain's House of Commons _ was uncovered through coded e-mails on computers seized from terror suspects in Britain and Pakistan.

The paper claimed that an operation to deter the attack was referred to in an internal police document they had obtained.

Metropolitan Police refused to comment on the report. "We are not able to discuss this at this time," a police spokesman said.
