The leftists who are "marching against the war" this time around are very much different than the ones who marched against the war in Vietnam. This time around, they are being led, coached, and funded by groups that are allied with enemies of the US. Vietnam era protests weren't as well orchestrated by that kind of organization, I don't think.
FUNDED is right...that bus that Sheehan is in is outfitted with bunk beds and all kinds of goodies for waiting for the POTUS to come out and tell he why HE killed her son...
Unless her son left her some big bucks in a life insurance policy, someone is paying for that bus...
If I remember correctly, the last time there was a protest down there, the media concentrated on that ex-Sen. from Georgia, Max Cleland---not the protest protestors...I think the media make a point of only showing the anti-Bush crowd...
BTW, that could have been when Cleland met with the guy that fakes Bush's TNG papers...
Kristinn's point is well taken,in that these groups, large or small, organized and funded or not, should not go unchallenged.
When I returned from Vietnam in '69 the anti-war crowd had the stage, our troops were pariah to almost all but family and friends. The MSM controlled the news.
This is no longer the case, and Thank God for that!
As kristinn makes clear, those of us who honor our troops and the president's efforts must counter the leftists of today. They can never be allowed the luxury of being the dominant voice.
You're right. The 60s people were motivated by cowardly self-interest.
They didn't want to do their manly duty.
I think that's when the queer thing got started.
