Meant to do these in chronological order, but in flipping back and forth between the internet and notepad, I somehow skipped over this group:
May 8, 2001: First Lady Laura Bush visited troops in Fort Jackson, South Carolina for a "Troops to Teachers" rally. She got a rousing welcome and, as you can see from this gorgeous photo, she was delighted.
