I certainly have a hard time swallowing that MS would do something as STUPID as is alleged here.

I'm not buying this "commentary" either. MS is not dumb. They didn't get to be the largest by abusing customers or producing a product that no one wants.

Did you check out the supporting links? It's been a known quantity that Microsoft has chummed up to the MPAA and RIAA. The statements made in the articles linked from the commentary are legit.

I don' know about that abuse but as for producing a product no one wants...how about ME?

What happens when Microsoft decides to leak just enough details of its internal workings to allow people to write malware that takes advantage of undocumented behaviors, but not enough details to stop them? So the only way to run a safe system will be to either downgrade to 98 or upgrade to Vista?
