I used to love going up to Victoria for a weekend, but I don't know how you live in the socialist paradise. I had an uncle that migrated to Canada in the late 60's to keep from getting his sizable backside shot off. Ironically, until the day he died, he was a conservative political activist in Canada.

Anyway, if you come south, don't stop until you hit the Mason Dixon line, or you may think you're still in Canada.

Thanks for the advice. I've been doing some research and I'm still not sure where the best location for us is - I have traveled fairly extensively so know pretty much what to expect in the various states. From a political perspective, you probably are right but that is only one consideration. There are also things like location of my existing customers, taxation, nearness to decent airport, cost of housing, universities, time and costs to see family that would be left in Canada ... and on and on. Most of the crew that would come with me enjoy skiing so that's also on the table as a consideration. Any advice on how to best find and evaluate data that would be useful in making such an assessment is very welcome.
