Yes, I know how you feel. I avoid a lot of stuff like that, too. On the plus side, I have gotten some projects done around the house. Maybe my husband has paid these people to post such stuff. LOL! This is the Court of Public Opinion. If some people on these threads are soooooo afraid of non-experts expressing their opinions, what are they doing here?
Don't be discouraged, Miss Marple. Sometimes when many, even the great unwashed, look at a problem, a gem of truth is uncovered. There are forums for experts -- and if Allegra and durasell want to go there, I'm sure they'd be welcome.

I think you misunderstand me. I am also growing tired of the supposed military "experts" whose sole ideas seem to be more troops, nuke Mecca, etc.
I don't mind intelligent discussion of military strategy, but the armchair quarterbacks grow tiresome.
And I would rather discuss this stuff with Allegra (who happens to be IN Iraq) than most of the keyboard cowboys.
