They'll have to have inoffensive, non-sexist, non-aggressive names like "Utah Mungbeans" and Central Michigan University "Meadowgrass".
I'm not a sports fan, so I have no dog in this fight, but politican correctness is actually evil.
Remember a team the "Fighting Whities" a while ago?

If I remember the story correctly, I believe "Fighting Whities" was a group of Native Americans who chose this for the name of their basketball team. In effect they chose the name that it might be offensive to Caucasians, which I think misses the point altogether.
The attributes of teams named after tribes, warriors, braves is actually meant to be be complimentary to these people.
I don't know about some of the mascots in the big suits. I suppose I might understand how someone might be offended by that, but again I don't really think denigrating or making fun of those tribes is the motivation.
Here in the DC area they go through the PC motions on the Redskins every few years. I've grown so weary of it that I wish they would simply put a potato on their helmets and call it a day. I think all this nonsense is silly.
The NCAA should be more involved in things like making sure that their "student atheletes" do a better job of getting "edjimikated."

Maybe they should just go with vegetable names. For instance, Scottsdale Community College's football team is called...the Artichokes! Cracks me up every time I hear it. I honestly don't know how the announcers keep a straight face when commenting on the game.

Stanford used to be the "Indians" then they voluntarily renamed the team "Cardinal" as in the color.
They knew that no one would notice that "red" in the singular was a derivative of "red skin" or "red skins" or Indians...

The "Fighting Whities" are students at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. They gained a lot of attention when they supported the Eaton, Colorado High School in keeping their team name, the "Reds".
