based on this), which would
correspond to the year 1951 in our calendar.

Hmm. What do you get when you have 1 billion or so people, who have no future, and who also now have no history?
IMHO, if you put that many people in an entirely untenable situation, and convince them there is only one way out, many will choose that one way.
Even if that way means losing one's own earthly life.
Sadly, for the civilized world, that one way involves killing as many of us as possible so they can achieve matyrdom.
