Interesting. I Iive in a state that is crawling with illegal aliens. If I have a contractor complete a new addition to my home and I notice that some of the workman appear Hispanic and are speaking Spanish, what is my obligation? Citizen's arrest? What if I'm wrong?

And if I later discover the workman were indeed illegal aliens, am I forbidden to speak critically of the way our immigration and border control laws are (not) enforced?

I don't agree with that argument at all. It makes no sense.

It is very simple for you or Tancredo. If you don't want illegals on the job, you specify it. It happens all the time and is no different than requiring proof of insurance.
