I didn't know that. Of course, permission to excavate in the area and on the Temple Mount itself has been steadfastly refused by the Palestinians and the Jordanians. However, the excavavtions along the length of the Western Wall are fairly conclusive.

The question I have is why is establishing David's presence in Israel so important when Solomon's presence is documented....the Temple.
