Thanks for the warm welcome Lady X. We've been lurkers for years but just started posting. I'm looking forward to being here more often now and enjoying being a part of the "family".

Thank you all for the good wishes on LouieMax coming home after a week of wonderlust. I won't put them in a table but here are pictures taken today of our pets .....

This little guy showed up at our door a couple of months ago.
Marissa named him Junior.

Junior looks a little better after losing some matted hair.
Hubby didn't take him to the SPCA while Marissa and I were away.

After Max came home, he and Millie found a shady spot to take a rest.

Finally .... current pictures of LouieMax.
Looks like he has grown this past year. :)

He looks a lot different than when I first introduced him, doesn't he?

He is too big to let into the house very often. He was in for awhile this morning and managed not to break anything. :)

Audie Murphy looks like a great little angel.

Millie was happy to see LouieMax but she still wants him to know that she is top dog. She is 6 and he was 1 in May.

We need to come up with ways to keep him in our yard. I tried tying him once and he chewed thru the rope.

We need to put 5 foot chain link around our small orchard and cement all around. We may need to remove the 4 foot chain link in the back and replace it with 5 foot. He can go over the 4 ft but has quit jumping after we put some wire on the lawn next to the fence. We are even looking into an electric fence.

It was quite a surprise when LouieMax showed up early this morning. A VERY nice surprise. He has a few more scrapes on his nose which will leave scars. It looks like he may have been trying to dig under someone else's chain link fence. He is also limping a little but it does not seem like anything to worry about.

I think Junior is here to stay. PrissyMissy loves him and he is the right size for her. LouieMax tries to give her a little kiss and he knocks her down. :)

This morning, she asked him if he had a good adventure. He just gave her a big smooch. :)

Hi Amy. It's wonderful to see a happy ending and know that your baby is back home. My two are like children and are so spoiled....almost as much as my DH. I found a neat website and thought it might come in handy for finding a FREE fence. I've used it several times and you can find and give away just about anything for free.

Wouldn't be happy doing anything else.

When we were stationed in Germany, Hushpuppie started and ran a USO Canteen for the soldiers and family members of our area. And, this was no small task either! She did a fantastic job too! She also served as a newsletter editor for the region. Yep...this was awhile ago...before the days of the internet. Yes ma'am, she made one fantastic Army Wife!!

Although we still dearly miss the Active Duty life, we are still close to the military way of life and choose to continue to support them in every way we can.

HOOAH!

Well hey there Hushpuppie. Glad to see another Southerner arrive. Aquamarine lives in Ga. too. I have lived there in the past (Hotlanta). Born and raised in Tenn/Ala. Why am I in WV? Don't ask. It's a long story. Welcome finally to the family.
