I didn't begrudge them the food or shelterI sure as hell would! They are breaking immigration laws and breaking into private property. Do you really think once they get here they are going to abide by ANY LAWS if they haven't already?!
If they are so desperate to come to the U.S. maybe they should try it the LEGAL way first. Get in line like everyone else!

I can't disagree but this was back in the 70's and these people walked all the way from someplace in Mexico to San Antonio. They were pretty pitiful. We always gave them food when we encountered them in the brush. It's easy to be angry sitting in your house seeing them on the news but when you meet them face to face it feels different. When you give them a bag of cookies and they drop down on their knees and bless you it's hard to be so angry.
