Yoga class? Isn't that where they teach you how to blow up yourself? I feel so much safer now!

This is ridiculous. The woman did her time in prison she shouldn't have to be on house arrest to begin with. Meanwhile, Sandy Berger continues to flip the feds the bird.

This is still the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

Sex perverts are allowed out to run wild and kill children, and a harmless women convicted on trumped up charges of a non-violent crime is tagged and tracked like a nuclear device.

Obviously she still hasn't learned her lesson....Still thinks the rules are made for others not herself. How long before she's caught in something else?

Regardless, Stewart will no doubt be spending some quality time in front of the television this month until she finishes out the remainder of her sentence at home.

Well she can spend this extra time...looking up how to remove her ankle braclet.

"Martha Stewart has agreed to an extension of the terms of her home confinement until Aug. 31"

AGREED????

Since when does the justice system ask a convict if punishment is ok with her and look for her agreement. She should be told she will do this or go back to jail like ever other convict that violates a condition of their parole.

AGREED????

This statement was issued by her lawyer. I'd imagine the Feds would express it a little differently.

"Martha Stewart has agreed to an extension..."

...much like Saddam, while being pulled from his hidey-hole, was willing to negotiate.

Her home confinement was instead of more time in prison. Frankly I think this witch needs reminding that she is not above the law.
That's right go after the monsters but this woman has had it coming and I don't feel sorry for her.
The justice system should work better at all levels but not by letting these types go do their thing either.
She is so hillary--can't stand her appointed queenness.

....Still thinks the rules are made for others not herself.

She was convicted of lying to a government agent. In fact, lying about a matter that was later determined not to be a criminal matter.

Now government agents routinely lie to the public as a matter of course.

Now then what was it you were saying about rules are made applying to others but not oneself.

#1- Martha could have avoided jail..& home confinement. She chose not to.

#2- Martha lied...to a G.J. ( Only the government anointed get away with that..)

#3- Martha knew what did and didn't constitute "insider trading". She used to be a stock broker..and held a seat on the NY exchange.

#4- Martha, in her wisdom..cratered on her fiduciary responsibility to her stock holders. They got creamed...directly because of her. Wouldn't surprise me..if she "indirectly" shorted the snot out of her own company.

#5- I think Martha is a talented lady...but she really miscalculated. Personally I think she had a bad case of..."I'm above the law. The law is for the peons."

FWIW-

That's right...they should leave the woman alone...let's see....she pays her taxes...she reported to the court when she was ordered....she didn't skip the country....leave her alone...if they want to put someone in jail, try any number of elected Democratic officials (i.e., Ted, "I swear Mary Jo and I were only going to vespers," Kennedy.

Bill and Hillary Clinton did all of the same things (Bruce Willis voice: "And then some") and will never see the inside of a jail.

It's just so picayune given what's going on today. I want to hear about some of these f'n kiddie rapers being picked up for absconding and being put back in the slammer for some long, hard time. I want to hear them saying that this 61 year old harmless woman has served enough detention and let the damn thing go. Catch the freaking terrorists, please. What is wrong with this f'n government. I want to see THEM in jail.
