between stuff like this, giving Minnesota CCW and not raising taxes(cig "fee" notwithstanding) in the face of a massive budget shortfall inherited from Jesse Ventura, Pawlenty is my hero and IMHO presidential material.

He concluded saying, "Because of the letter, I am going out for a walleye dinner tonight." GOOD FOR TIM! That's the only way to respond to these weirdos.

I am sure PETA can stake out all 10,000 lakes to prevent people from Walleye Fishing.

I'm with you. I don't know much about him but he sounds great.

After 16 years in Minnesota, I got some of that excess money Jessie gave back as a sales tax rebate. Used it to buy property in Missouri.

Pawlenty just jacked the price of my cigarettes up a buck a pack. Wouldn't vote for him again.

How is it that PETA members are Pro Animal Rights but also Pro Abortion?

Based on his candor, I naturally assumed this was an Onion article.
Is there really an elected official at this level that would speak so frankly? If so, I applaud the man.

PETA said a recent study showed fish are smart and feel pain. The same cannot be said of PETA.

"PETA said a recent study showed fish are smart and feel pain."
Oh yeah...the one by that English broad that was roundly and soundly debunked.
Fish are not "smart" in any recognizable, measurable way. Fishermen just say that because they were too dumb to catch 'em.
The pain they feel is not our type of pain at all. [Why else do they pretty much lay relatively still while you wiggle out the hook?]
Way to go Gov.! More people need to tell these petapeeps to go jump.

MOst states would go belly-up even quicker if they had to cancel fishing and hunting licenses. Money to be made ALL around!!
Plus most people donate their fish and game to charity-benefit freezers.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals asked Pawlenty to declare walleye off-limits for fishing. Why is this covered as news? Why does liberal crap like this ever see the light of day?
WCCO is owned by CBS, but even then I expect better than this.
