I thought this was only a Catholic problem? (sarcasm)
"Church youth group director charged with sex offenses"
Had to get a stab into relgion with the headline.
Obviously, this perv doesn't own an SUV or handgun, or the headline would have stated such...
This is wicked and should be treated as such.
But just look at what happened. The 23 old was suspended and then fired immediately.
How does the Catholic Church handle these matters.
Usually a slap on the hand with some counseling, representation by a multitude of lawyers and protection by the Catholic Church from legal punishment.
Washington posts reported...
"Nearly 4,500 Roman Catholic priests have been accused of sexually abusing a total of 11,000 children in the United States between 1950 and 2002, CNN reported yesterday, citing a draft of a study scheduled for release at the end of the month by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Those figures are two to three times as high as previously reported.....

Isn't it amazing how these are all repeat offenders?
I could not follow the link to the full article, but going only from the blurb he has only been charged. If he committed statutory rape (even if the girls were "willing" (no 14 year old can have true understanding, and therefore cannot be really willing, in my opinion)) with either of these girls he should be locked up, after the girls fathers and mothers have some quality time with him. However, we supposedly believe in innocent until proven guilty. Everyone here seems to have already found him guilty
I hope my Church learns about speedy justice. There is no need to wait for a Christian minister to be convicted in a secular court of law.
The Church has enough wise men to decide whether these allegations are true; if the accused man is found guilty by fellow Christian leaders, he should be terminated immediately.
I actually knew this guy, since I live near Kernersville. I think he needs all the prison time he can get, because I know he feels no remorse for what he did. I hope to never see or hear from him again.
