I'm beginning to agree with your point that they will press this "bought his children" angle, possibly also with questions about the legality of the adoption, but I also think the race card will definitely be played on this as well, e.g., "Why did you go to Latin America when there are plenty of babies to adopt here?"
Well heck that goes without saying: He wanted some white kids. I happen to think that people should adopt the thousands of children waiting to be adopted in this country. Of course the truth is it's not that easy for a white couple to adopt some little black/mexican/whatever kids, because you know the black kids have "special needs" blah blah.. So they need black/mexican/whatever parents...
The real shame is that no one wants to adopt older kids of of stripes.
For the same reason why my brother and wife adopted 3 children from another country
It's not easy here and there is a long wait to adopt kids in this country
