Ann Coulter might just prove to be a great prognosticator.
She objects to Roberts due to his unknown record....says we've allowed the entire liberal wing under Republican presidents to slip in in this exact same fashion.
Hmmmmmm......
Hope she's wrong. I don't think there's any stopping these dominoes from falling.

I don't think there's any stopping these dominoes from falling. Hey--you know as well as I do the future history of this planet. It's gonna happen. Just be thankful it's all under control.

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. (Pro 21:1) Ultimately Bush's pick for the court will be God's pick for the court. Let us pray God's intention is to bless us as a nation rather than to judge us as a nation.

Me too. Sadly I have lost so much trust in the Bush administration. I am hoping I am wrong. My husband thinks I am wrong.

Roberts, and Romer v. Evans was right. I just pulled it up and re-read it. Colorado's Amendment 2 didn't just say that homosexuals were on an equal plane with everyone else; it said that homosexuals could not have any "claim of discrimination." It allowed all persons, public and private, in the State of Colorado to discriminate against homosexuals. This is a facial violation of the 14th Amendment.

We've been Soutered again!
"Gay rights" is far uglier in it's scope than abortion. It literally has the potential to defile the entire human race.

The problem is that with the Supreme court you never know what you are getting. Ike said the greatest disappointment in his Presidency was appointing Earl Warren (I think that is who he appointed).
The real problem is accepting Judical review as the final say on the Constitution.
The Supreme Court needs a check as well as do the other two branches of Gov't.

Coulter had good reason to object to his previously unknown record. Republicans own the White House and 55 seats in the Senate. There is no reason why a known Scalia-like originalist was nominated. Nor should the Republicans be able to get away with nominating anything less.
That being stated, we now know his record -- he is gay rights activist's best friend.
