Delay, Rove, and now they're set their sights on Hastert. This is clearly part of a coordinated plan to take down the Republican leadership by any means necesary.

If this gains any traction, I'll be shocked. This is just something else to get the DUmmies all excited and off the leadership's back about not having anything for 06 or beyond.
Oh, and if Turkey was bribing Hastert, why didn't he use that to pressure Turkey into letting our troops deploy from there during the initial stages of the war?
Oh, yes, that's right - because there is nothing to this story.

So now Bush is doing THIS to get Rove off the front pages? he be crafty!
All the dems have is mud, and lots of it. They stand for nothing but destroying their enemies while whining that terrorists aren't getting the good cable in Gitmo.
What a pathetic, sagging old hag of a party.

And while the Vanity Fair article reports that there is no evidence that any payment was ever made to Hastert or to his campaigns,I believe that this is the end of a non-story.

Sibel Edmonds is a nutjob native of Turkey whom the FBI rushed into place after 911 when it became clear that Farsi linguists (she spent part of her youth in Iran) were needed in government. They soon rued the day they hired her and her career lasted less than a year. She's been dining out on that year ever since by concocting ridiculous tales like this one.

Key paragraph:
And while the Vanity Fair article reports that there is no evidence that any payment was ever made to Hastert or to his campaigns, it also reports that a senior official at the Turkish Consulate is said to have claimed in one recording that the price for Hastert to withdraw the resolution would have been at least $500,000.
Pretty lame attempt, IMO.
