Employees sue CIA for 'abuse of power'
By Rupert Cornwell
04 December 2001
A group of CIA officers has brought a class-action suit against the
agency, alleging abuse of power against employees including the
cover-up of mistakes leading to the accidental US bombing of China's
embassy in Belgrade in 1999, for which several lower-ranking employees
were wrongly blamed.
The case, filed by 15 past and present mid-to-upper level CIA employees,
claims that the spy agency has used illegal tactics to prevent them
pursuing legitimate grievances against the CIA, including altering and
destroying documents, and eavesdropping on privileged discussions with
their lawyers.
Roy Krieger, a lawyer for the 15, said: "What the agency is trying to
hide is not its intelligence sources but its own dirty laundry about
internal disputes, kangaroo disciplinary procedures, discrimination and
who is to blame for blunders."
The whole WMD issue was cooked up to give Clinton stuff to bomb during impeachment.

They mandated Anthrax vacinations and chem gear for all personnel operating in the Gulf before the DESERT FOX operation.

For those like me who hate opening pdf files, here's a summary I typed up of some details provided on the background of the plaintiff:
The plaintiff is "a male of Near Eastern ancestry". Started in covert ops in 1982, recruited an informant to penetrate a target's WMD program and won a medal, converted from contractor to staff employee in 1995, assigned to Counter Proliferation Division in 1995 with mission of collecting intelligence on WMD proliferation and interdicting proliferation, "At all times pertinent hereto CIA/DO/CPD served as the primary collection point at CIA/DO for Near Easter[n] WMD programs", recruited many "hard-target" human assets, started running into problems with his reports in 2000 due to reporting conficting information, investigated by CIA Counterintelligence in 2003 on suspicion of having sex with a female asset and blackmailing the Deputy Director of Operations, some months later in 2003 investigated by CIA Inspector General on suspicion of diverting funds meant for assets, presented with letter of termination 8/6/2004 to be effective 9/10/2004.
Some excerpts are posted here:

...12. Plaintiff is a male of Near Eastern ancestry who joined the CIA as a contract covert Operations Officer in 1982. During the ensuing twenty-two year period Plaintiff has conducted numerous successful covert operations against a variety of intelligence targets while serving in the CIA's Directorate of Operations ("CIA/DO"). This service and his significant contributions resulted in his eventual approval for promotion to the rank of GS-15 and for receipt of the CIA Special Intelligence Medal in recognition of his [redacted] recruitment of an [redacted] penetrating a target country's WMD program [redacted].
In 1995, Plaintiff was advised by Defendant CIA that his employment had been converted from that of a contractor to a staff employee... In 1995 Plaintiff was assigned to the CIA/DO Counter Proliferation Division...where his mission was to collect intelligence on and interdict the proliferation of WMD, [redacted]....
17. Plaintiff was first subjected to a demand that he alter his intelligence reporting in 2000, [redacted]. Plaintiff reported this information via formal CIA cable channels. Plaintiff was subsequently advised by CIA management that his report did not support the earlier assessment [redacted] and instructed that if he did not alter his report to support this assessment it would not be received well within the intelligence community. Plaintiff was aware that earlier reporting underlying the assessment was less-than-genuine and refused to alter his report. As the result, the CIA/DO/CPD refused to disseminate his report to the intelligence community despite Plaintiff's efforts.
18. In 2001, Plaintiff met with a highly respected human asset [redacted]. Plaintiff immediatly reported this information to his supervisor who in-turn met with CIA/DO/CPD management. Plaintiff was later instructed that he should prepare no written report of the matter and that the Deputy Director of Operations ("DDO") together with the Chief of the CIA/DO/CPD would personally brief the President. Upon information and belief, Plaintiff avers that no such briefing ever occurred and therefore the President was misled by the withholding of vital intelligence. Subsequently, in 2002, the Chief of the CIA/DO/CPD advised Plaintiff that his promotion to GS-15 and receipt of the Special Intelligence Medal had been approved by the DDO but were being withheld until Plaintiff removed himself from further handling of this asset.
19. In 2001, Plaintiff attempted to report "actionable' intelligence [redacted]...However, the CIA never disseminated this information in the intelligence community despite Plaintiff's pleas to do so, effectively sequestering intelligence [redacted]. Later, a co-worker of Plaintiff warned him that CIA management planned to "get him" for his role in reporting intelligence contrary to official CIA dogma [redacted].
Former FBI agent cites penetration of CIA by China
China's intelligence service spent years training a spy who posed as a Catholic priest in New York and was part of an escape plan for a Chinese agent in the CIA, according to a veteran FBI counterspy.
And do NOT forget these great links
And THIS thief
Former CIA director calls for Iraq withdrawal - (DEUTSCH!)"
And THIS liar:

Any possibility that he's the SAME "Jim Smith" that's in with the Johnson Jackals??

Alan Foley to head national security programs at Argonne
ARGONNE, IL.(March 16, 2004) Alan A. Foley has been named associate laboratory director for national security at the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory.
Foley most recently was director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency's Center for Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation and Arms Control. He was associated with the CIA for 26 years, and has held positions including serving as chief of the Arms Control Intelligence Staff and as senior member of the U.S.-Soviet Strategic Arms Reduction Talks (SALT) from 1987 to 1990.
Foley was awarded the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal for exceptional performance, leadership and professionalism in 2001. He has a bachelor's degree in political science from Tufts University, a master's degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and was a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Fellow at Moscow and Leningrad State Universities.
In his new role at Argonne, Foley will head the laboratory's $40 million research effort in national security programs. Argonne researchers are providing scientific and technical support to assist the Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and other public agencies in accomplishing their mission to reduce threats to national security.
Argonne's research and development program includes three major components:
# Nuclear non-proliferation, treaty verification, arms control, and counter-terrorism technology.
This effort includes initiatives to research and test reactor security, reactor fuel safety projects, nuclear materials monitoring activities, and nuclear security training. In support of these efforts, Argonne is equipped to perform nuclear-related field and laboratory measurements, radiation dose estimations, decontamination, emergency construction, radioactive materials handlings, nuclear risk management and nuclear threat attribution.
# Domestic infrastructure assurance.
This effort includes vulnerability assessments focused on physical, operational and cyber security, and the interdependencies of such critical infrastructures as electrical, natural gas, transportation and telecommunication systems. Under the sponsorship of DOE and DHS, Argonne is actively engaged in activities that aim to increase the emergency preparedness and security awareness of infrastructure owners and operators and their host communities and states.
# Chemical and biological counter-terrorism science and technology.
Argonne capabilities include instruments and sensors for detection of chemical and biological agents in the air, water, and soil, whether dispersed over a wide area or hidden within sites and caches. Facilities are also available for evaluating the effectiveness of monitoring methods at both the laboratory and field scales. The Laboratory can provide technical assistance in emergency situations and deploy fast-response systems for protecting first responders, decreasing exposure times, estimating population exposures, and reducing risk.

Damn!
I recently posted about that .. wondering what Goss was going through while having to leave her there until the investigation was over. Did Goss put her out on leave over a year ago? I HOPE he did .. but felt he would be hamstrung by required neutrality until Fitzgerald concluded his jaunt through the swamp.
Wonder who tipped him.....hmmmmm.

Actually there is no problem. As the NY/LA Slimes, Washington Compost, ABCNNBCBS and the rats in the senate, there is no problem with WMDS and any Jihadist Nation.
So if we believe them, there is no problem with Foley now in charge of security there or anywhere, as the only dangerous people to America are GW, Rove, Cheney, Rummy, Rice and Rove.
Thank you, Fedora!

Thanks for the ping!
Which was thoroughly at odds with their weapons policy domestically. They were against private citizens having "guns". It was a very frightening and alarming time for me, and most I knew then -- to witness this cognitive dissonance (being polite here, in re "deliberate) policy.
CIA had to have been made a mess, given these Democrat policies. With of course, those adhering to Clinton "international policies on wmds" being given carte blanche to overrun other agents "reports" on the proliferation of materials and WMDs.
