"To Pureto Rico: Become a state, or butt out. You can't have it both ways."

Pretty much agreed, I'll go one step farther though, all U.S. territories (American Samoa, Micronesia, Guam, Midway, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands) should be made states or let go. Give them all 2 years to debate and hold local elections, if they want in great, otherwise bye bye..

I understand the whole D.C. thing though, I guess I'll let them stay :)

Hey now, back off dude! ;-)

Living in a place that only recently became a state I can tell you that being a territory is not as demeaning as its cracked up to be, and being a state offers no where near all the benefits that are claimed.

Since becoming a state, Alaska STILL has 95% of all lands held by government. More than any other state.http://www.nwi.org/Maps/LandChart.html

I have no objection to places like the VI and Guam wanting to stay as territories (and avoiding the weight of a local bureaucracy on top of a federal one), but I do object to them demanding states rights without being a state.
