Yes I know and agree. My point was based on an observation I made a year ago. A local well known high end restaurant has been attracting the kind of clientel that screamed drug dealers and runners. This place always had a nice dress code, ambience and these questionable patrons were scuzzed out and beyond. Having to sit next to their table with their exposed body piercings, ashened faces and tattoos ruined my dinner. I've never gone back. Eventually that will kill off another good restaurant. And I'm not a snob by any stretch of the imagination. I pay not just for a good meal but the atmosphere too.

I've seen that happen in NYC. Usually when the restaurant has more reputation than customers. The last hooray phase...
