Certainly Epoch Times is very anti-communist Chinese. However, the author's argument is entirely plausible. ChiComs dragging the entire world down if they go down. ChiCom's use of biological and nuclear weapons are also very plausible. In the last 5 years, two of their military officers vowed they'll nuke US.

I've recently been boycotting Chinese products, although some items are not easy like computer components. I've also been boycotting gasoline stations which supply Saudi oil.

Do you have an abbreviated version?

“using non-destructive weapons of mass killing” to “clear the stage of the United States.”

Avian flu?

It's in his reply #1: "ChiComs dragging the entire world down if they go down."

My apologies for the article being too long. Chicoms will not step down peacefully. If their position is threatened, they'll attack the USA. The abbreviated version is: the Chicoms will attack with bio weapons against us first. If that fails, they'll nuke us, taking out 100-200 million AMericans. They're willing to lose up to 700 million of their people. Chicoms got nuclear bunkers in western China.

I think we could beat China if we staged a full scale nuclear sneak attack.

Cut off the head of the dragon just as it's waking up.

Am I crazy for thinking this?

I think if we were attacked like this China would be uninhabitable for quite some time. I also think anyone who thinks that bio weapons won't boomerang on you is insane.

Perhaps you are crazy, perhaps not.

Look at the Total War we waged on N Korea, and they never quit. Nukes would not have caused that much more damage. For instance we destroyed most of their dams, meaning they could grow little rice since they had no agricultural water, and they fought on.

Consider the bombing campaign of LeMay on Japan in WWII- the Tokyo raid alone killed 100,000 civilians and destroyed 16 square miles of the city, more than the damage done to either Hiroshima or Nagasaki, and they did not quit.

To this day there is a debate over whether nukes end wars, and I do not wish to see someone go out and collect empirical data on the topic.

It could well be that if we dumped our entire nuke inventory they'd say, Gee, we're sorry, and quit.

Or, they could say, We have been grievously injured in a sneak attack on our homeland. Now it is up to all of us to fight for revenge and justice for as long as it takes (sort of like our feelings after Pearl or even the Maine).

Plus you could win militarily and lose politically, like VN and the Tet Offensive. Every liberal news outlet in the USA would have clicking Geiger counters 24/7 watching your fallout spread, with news reports of just how bad Sr-90 and Tritium are for growing kids.

Let's please not find out what would happen!

"If, however, the attack fails and triggers a nuclear retaliation from the U.S., China would perhaps suffer a catastrophe in which more than half of its population would perish."

Uh, my preference would be that 100% would perish. The Chinese have to understand that such an attack would result in their complete removal from this Earth.

"But if the Party falls, everything is gone, and forever gone!"

How incomprehensively evil. They would cause the deaths of perhaps a billion people in order to save their kingdom of tyranny and their places in it.

Maybe Satan invented communism in case islam couldn't destroy the world by itself.

As long as they still only have liquid-fueled silo-based ICBMs -- yup, we could get the job done rather neatly. And, seeing as how they are based out in the far West, we wouldn't even kill that many innocents. Once those nasty Russian road-mobile solid-fuel ICBMs come on line (this year?), then it gets far messier. Thus, our window has just about closed. History may judge us quite harshly.

I see the Epoch Times distributed often around NYC's train stations. God bless 'em.
