Exactly. .....He DID give them the finger and it WAS deserved. Amazing that some are too blinded (by wishful thinking) to see it.
Hey Nick,
Senator Leaky has an important message from the Vice President for you.
I hope he flipped them off... in that exchange, it wasn't the media that was representing the American public, but the President himself.
And since when are the media representatives of the American people? That is unbelievably arrogant. Unelected, self-appointed hacks that misrepresent and try to manipulate us is more like it.
And, on another note, the only people who are allowed to speak in the plural about themselves ("we believe", "we will"), are those with tapeworms.
Go to the reporters web site and click on the link to see the video.

Sorry, don't have my html editor handy to liven the link...
It's the Jay Leno tape. And when I first saw it I believed absolutely that it was the bird. But when I kept clicking onto the progress bar of the video and made the thing run through numerous times it became clear that it's a thumb.
The first time I saw it I was influenced by Jay Leno when he lends a sensationalistic flow to it all, and asks "What was that?!?!?!", or some other such comment.
The video I saw was on Fox, Brit Hume's show. It may have been the Leno video or the WH pool reporter footage. Looked like the thumb to me.
I wonder what the shouted question was that prompted the digital response? Bet he doesn't do that again even if it was the thumb.
His only redeeming feature is he looks like Brent Spiner who played "Data" on Star Trek: Next Generation. Other then that...
Sorry Sunstar, it's ABSOLUTELY his thumb. (to the right of the "digit" is the last knuckle of his index finger, to the left of the "digit" is the first knuckle of the index finger. And, it obvious by the position of the wrist, that he's giving thumbs up).
Besides, the context of the situation would not call for him to give the finger. Do you really believe he would just randomly give the finger like that?
But unlike the author of this article, I'm cool with it.
I believe a reporter commented on the successful passing of a bill the President supported - CAFTA maybe. The normal (finger) response would have indeed been a thumbs up.
What we have here; people who like Bush wishing he would give them the finger and people who hate Bush believing he gave the finger because they'll believe just about anything about him.
That picture of Coleman has put my gaydar on red alert.
The reason most people went into journalism is to write about people making the news.
Now these people only write about themselves -- as though they are the news.
Look, if these journalists want to kill themselves, nobody's going to violate their right to do so. C'mon Helen, c'mon Nick, get it over with so they can free up some salary and positions to hire fresh new talent. What do you people need? Bombs, razor blades, gasoline, electric cattle prods?
The American people are generous -- they will give you whatever you need to do the job -- to get out of the way.
From the video that I saw the day it happened, it was a thumbs up and it was pretty obvious. You had to want to see it as a finger for it to be that.
I, too, have watched the video. IMHO, the people's president has represented the people's thoughts about most of the press.
