Reminds me of Roy from Sigfield and Roy getting attacked. Roy said after the fact, that a lady with big hair in the front row freaked the tiger out, so the tiger grabbed Roy by the neck and took him backstage to 'safety', almost ripping poor Roy's head off in the process.
The critter may 'mean well', but a 150lb Rottie, a Pit Bull, or a tiger have jaws and teeth capable of doing serious damage.

we did plenty of training on our German Shepherd and our Anatolian Shepherd. man, were they obedient--- to us! But you couldn't trust them around kids..
Did you really expect him to say "I had no control over my pet." or "The unexpected finally happened." or "We missed his breakfast feeding, he was doing what he naturally does when he gets hungry." or possibly "I guess he didn't like being tapped on the nose with a microphone."
