Are you kidding me? I'm 26, and the song was popular when I was a freshmen in high school. Most of today's youth returning to school have never heard this song.
The parents buy the backpacks. If you were a freshmen, then the seniors that same year would be around 30. Many 30 year olds do have kids just entering school.
