Lots of those dead Americans in the cities are scum-- drug dealers, other criminals. On the other hand, the marines are among our finest Americans.

I agree.

And it is important to remember that we still haven't lost the number that were murdered on 9/11.

And we've prevented (so far) another 9/11 or worse.

Compared to a WMD, this is a sad but necessary price to make sure a WMD sized death at a Rose Bowl doesn't happen.
