Sure...Tancredo's remarks were bombastic, but it was spit in the ocean of the venom that Islamist politicians have hurled at the U.S. since Jimmy Goober disgraced the Oval Office.
No doubt of that. But when you're dealing with foreign policy and your nation is at war, there has to be a better reason to say something than "They've said terrible things to us! Let's give it right back to them!" There has to be some kind of strategy.
I think Tancredo enjoys the limelight of being a nationally known Congressman a little too much, and has learned what his supporters want to hear. It's not responsible and it shows a lack of discipline.
Yep, and it does have everyone on both side of the issue talking about the possibility. Hopefully, it will open a few eyes, so if he did nothing else, he gave voice to what many people are thinking.
