All sexual predators need to be getting a lot tougher treatment and harsher sentences. As a Catholic, I am saddened by the number of priests who have molested children and by the efforts of many in the Church to cover it up. I would also hate to think the Church makes decisions about these things based on what their lawyers say (that's not a dig at lawyers, I'm one of them, too).
That said, I am thankful for the thousands of good priests who faithfully serve their communities all over the world. I also wish at least equal attention would be focused on sexual predators who hide under the vestments and offices of other religions and organizations, using their positions of trust and power to facilitate their evil and heinous acts.
